Noite do Cachorro Quente

So this week was pretty exciting!! We had 10 investigars at Sacrament meeting this week. Gospel Doctrine class was a handful as we had an ex-Preacher come with his member friend and there was almost an heated argument over when the Final Judgement will occur. But we all survived. We ended up taking Claudia and Jackson to the afternoon ward on Sunday that meets in the same chapel so that they could attend together. Jackson works until noon (when our ward ends) so he hadn´t been able to attend Church yet with Claudia. They both said they really liked it, but Claudia said she liked our ward better. It was a pretty rough sacrament meeting because this other ward, to be honest, is extremely irreverent. There was a lot of side talking going on and the Bishop had to stand up in Sacrament meeting and mention with his finger for everyone to be quiet. Luckily our ward moves to the afternoon time starting at the beginning of the year, and Jackson and Claudia will be able to attend our ward regularly. Jackson is still hesitant about baptism, and they´ve yet to get an answer through prayer on whether they really need to obey the word of wisdom or not, in respect to drinking coffee. Thursday was some holiday here, so our ward had it´s "integração" activity (I forgot the word in English, i think it´s integration?). It was "Noite do Cachorro Quente" (NIght of the Hot Dog). The activity was a little poorly planned, but Sister Souza managed to take care of some fun activities and I managed to handle the food, and we ended up having 13 investigators come!! The youth performed "Cats" again and everyone loved it!! Patricia and Anderson and their kids came, and the kids fell madly in love with the chapel and the fact that they can play "hide and go seek". However, on Sunday when they came to church they didn´t find an empty chapel and were unable to play. Their 7 year old son, Caíki, said that he didn´t like Primary because he couldn´t sleep during the lesson!! Haha, I´m loving this area, despite it´s challenges and Sister Souza and I have asked the President to stay through the next transfer! Happy Thanksgiving to everyone!! Hope it is a wonderful day with family!! P.S. Don´t forget those Christmas letters to me. Please send a photo of you/your family and write about an experience you had this year, good or bad, and how you overcame!! Boa Ação De Graças!!Sister Tittelfitz
